Ubuntu has a new logo and identity brand, and I really don’t like. Why through away the legendary friendly circle icon and replace it with a badly kerned wordmark?

I like it….
i dont mind the new font..nor the purple background (atleast it looks purple to me), but i agree that the circle logo is pretty sweet. more importantly however, is making sure the next version of Ubuntu delivers. I was so disappointed w/ 9.10. I used to tell people all the time to ditch windows for Ubuntu, but I’ve had to work so hard to keep things functioning that my technically disinclined family and friends would never be able to use it. Sigh. Maybe 6 month cycles are too fast. If the next one isn’t better I am going to need a new distro.
I have to say that I like Ubuntu’s new look. The 9.10 boot sequence looked like a b&w Cylon.
