I’m an earlier fan of agneka simple which obviously is a bit more simple than this one. I hope to switch upon the release, but it kind of has the magazine feeling to it with only one full post in the top which I wouldn’t want for my own blog, but with a bit of customization it might get perfect! Other than that, it’s real eye candy. I love your original style. Cheers!

Kim, thank you for the suggestions, your comment, and the kind words. I really appreciate that.

I’ll try to make the front page layout configurable — either by offering an options page for selecting the type of the front page layout or by simply adding a separate index.php file.

If you have any other thoughts or suggestions, I’ll be more than happy to hear them. Thank you once again.

Just saw the preview of the Sunrise Racer theme, and it looks like the perfect alternative to the Morning Racer. It’s fabulous! You’re really talented! I hope it will look well with various sorts of in-post photos also, cause this is usually hard to accomplish. Anyway, can’t wait to try it out!

Kim, great that you like it. I actually started working on the Sunrise Racer right after I read your comment — thinking to deviate away from the magazine-like layout.

It is also good to provide various type of themes as people often have different needs which require different approach to information structure on the site.

It is also funny how I get bored (more like used to, actually) with previous designs and always find the new ones to be better. Therefore it would be really interesting to hear your first reaction to both — morning and sunrise racer themes, in terms of usability, clarity and organization of different elements.

Kaspars, your themes are really suitable for using as a magazine theme. So you should think adding featured post functions to sidebar or giving an option for users to do it.You use it in Morning Racer theme to show your older posts. And using a tab menu would be great and helpful to make sidebar more tidy. And for recent posts may be, you can use excerpt like in in these theme’s next and previouse post views.

    Hi

I’ve been searching for the pefect theme for what I want for my blog for seems like Forever, then I came across your Morning Racer theme, and it looks awsome (as do all of your other themes:). but the Morning Racer is exactly the kind of theme Im looking for so I was wondering if you are still going to release it? or where I can download it as I really want it..:) its by far one of the best looking and most apt themes I’ve found so far..Thanks for creating such amazing ones..

    Many Thanks

    Martin

I just realised my last comment sounded a little desperate. I wasnt meaning it that way, I’ve spent months literally searching for a particular type of theme and just couldnt seem to find anything suitable until I came across your site, and saw what you’ve created, its simply perfect!..

they just have that certain class.

    Thanks

    Martin

Martin, sorry I didn’t get back to you earlier, I somehow missed your comment.

Its great to hear you like this theme. I haven’t written detail instructions on how to install it, thats why I don’t release it in public. But I will take all the necessary screenshots, clean up the code from all the analytics and advertising code and email it to you.

    Hi Kaspars,

    Thanks for your reply.

No Worries, I know what its like, it’s difficult trying to stay on top of things especially when your busy creating, but thats a good thing (sometimes).

I had been searching for such a thing as a clean and almost minimalist type of theme but with a magazine-esque type layout and was about to abandon the quest when I came upon your site and saw morning racer and just thought WOW! thats the one..

I think all of your themes are awsome, but the morning racer seems to be the most appropiate for my needs. I will be fine installing it myself so that would be truly awsome if you could mail it to me.

I can understand though why you want it to be just right before you release it publicly:)

I am going to have a special section on the site for credits to the creators etc, so if it works for you I will put a little showcase section for your themes on there, (if that works for you)

    Thanks again for your inspiration

    Martin
